154 Armored Personnel Carrier: Rheinmetall receives major order for Puma modernization – Rheinmetall’s shares take off | message

The Düsseldorf-based company announced that 154 Puma infantry fighting vehicles are to be brought to a similar design, along with Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The gross value of the order for the consortium is 1.04 billion euros. This means Rheinmetall has an order volume of EUR 501 million, which will be booked as an incoming order at the beginning of the third quarter of 2021. The work is scheduled to begin in July 2021 and is expected to be completed by 2029.

Expectations and orders within the consortium, for example in the area of ​​electronic vision systems, will result in additional order values ​​in the three-digit million euro range, Rheinmetall says. In addition, the modernization of another 143 Puma armored personnel carriers will be covered by an option that is also under contract. This includes an additional contract value of 820 million euros total for the consortium. Of this, more than half will be due to rhinmetalol.
