The coronovirus is causing the next transfer: the Formula 1 race in Baku will not be planned on June 7. Organizers officially announced it on Monday.

Problem: Azerbaijan GP is a city race where preparations start much earlier than GPs on a permanent race track. In addition, the virus continues to spread dynamically in Europe.

In concern for the health of residents, fans, organizers and participants, the race is postponed indefinitely. This is the seventh race that has been postponed, with the race in Monaco completely canceled.

So far, the season will not begin in Montreal until 14 June. Due to the precarious situation surrounding the virus, he is not even set in stone.

Canada was the first country to announce on Monday that it would not send any athletes for the Olympic Games in Tokyo (from 24 July to 9 August). The games have not yet been rescheduled despite growing criticism. In this context, a race in Montreal in mid-June seems rather unlikely.

For this, Formula 1 shifted the summer break, which is usually in August, to March and April in the previous week and extended it to two to three weeks. In summer, free time should be used to catch up on the stalled races.
