Astronaut Pellet: Viceroy of Canada should leave

Former astronaut Julie Pellet is forced to step down as Governor General of Canada. The fate of the scientist is his leadership style. It is the first time in the history of the world’s largest monarchy that a governor-general has to resign. Richard Wagner takes over the official business until a successor is appointed. The grandson of a Bavarian immigrant is the president of the Supreme Court of Canada.

The reason for Pellet’s resignation is an investigative report into his leadership style. Last summer she was CBC, Canada’s English-language public broadcaster, reports that Pellet exposes petitals, abuses and employees in public. There were also allegations of bullying against Pellet’s secretary.

On Thursday, the chairman of the Canadian Privy Council said an investigation is now “disturbing” and “worrying”. There is still no official complaint of any employee. Nevertheless, Pallett was forced to resign. The 57-year-old apologized for the “stress of the last few months” at his workplace.

Before she was sworn in as the Vice Queen of Canada, the astronaut provided services for science, health, sports, business and women’s interests. At that time she was primarily known to the general public for her two missions in the ISS (1999 and 2009). In between, from 2000 to 2007, he was the chief Ronaut of the Canadian Space Agency.

When he took over as Governor General, Pellet had emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the scientific basis of decision making. “Climate change, migration, proliferation of nuclear weapons, poverty, population growth and so on” is what Canada was calling the challenges the world was facing at the time. Global problems have no boundaries, no timetables, and they really need their attention. “The peaceful cooperation of various nations on the International Space Station (ISS) serves as a model. They also paid tribute to the role of indigenous people in Canada.”

The term of the post of Canadian Governor General depends on the emperor’s benevolence. The Governor General is Viceroy; Therefore he also represents the emperor as head of the Canadian Army. Pellet was the 4th woman and 29th man to hold this position. Under Queen Elizabeth II of Canada alone, Pellet was 13th. Each of its twelve predecessors served for about four to eight years. Payment comes for less than three and a half years. Ten provinces of Canada have their own lieutenant governors.

Shortly after assuming office in 2017, this part of Pevett’s speech appeared to conservatives and some religious leaders.
