A total of 6 individual projects are funded through the Rural Areas Development Program (ELR).

28.01.21 | The Ministry of Rural Areas and Consumer Protection has been promoting structural development in rural areas for 26 years under the motto “We leave the future in the village”. In the 2021 program year, 6 individual projects from private applicants were considered in the funding focus Housing / Interior Development in Bretten.

Active internal development is one of the most important core goals of ELR to cope with living space shortages. The funded projects are two construction projects in Buchig, two in Nebasim and two other projects in Wringlingen. The total volume of projects funded is 210,160 euros. Mayor Martin Wolff was pleased with the program’s decision and the opportunities associated for the districts. “The Rural Development Program is an important funding program to support internal development in rural areas,” says Mayor Wolfe. “I am very happy that our applications have been taken into consideration and the quality of living in our districts continues to increase through the implementation of individual projects”.

The ELR Structural Funding Program has a total of four funding priorities: living, functioning, basic services and community facilities. In the coming years as well, citizens can submit applications for funding from the Rural Development Program. Subsidies may be given, for example, for the conversion of vacant or former agricultural buildings for residential purposes in the amount of up to € 55,000, as well as for the construction of extensive apartment modernization and gaps up to a maximum of € 25,000. “We look forward to all funding applications and will support them in the conclusion,” emphasized Mayor Wolfe in the conclusion.
