Pakistan International Airlines: The Mystery of the Missing Flight Attendants

A Pakistan International flight attendant and flight attendant did not attend their return flights to Canada. The airline responds with rigorous measurements.

On the outbound flight PK798 from Islamabad, he was still functioning normally. When the Boeing 777 was about to fly back from Pakistan International Airlines, the flight attendant was no longer on duty. The airline then informed Canadian immigration officials.

This happened again a few days later. According to the newspaper The Express Tribune, a PIA flight attendant was suddenly not found in Toronto. The airline has now responded to the incidents.

From now on, passports will be confiscated

On Monday (1 February) Pakistan International released a new guideline according to which flight attendants should hand over their passports to the station manager after arriving abroad. It comes from an email sent to the newspaper Dawn Present. Flight attendants will get their passports back before the return flight.

In the future, it will also be checked whether the crew members check into the hotel. Pakistan International requires hotels to report any discrepancies. In the context of the epidemic, the crew is now prohibited from staying outside the accommodation at night.

Similar cases in previous years

There have been other similar cases with PIA in recent years. A cabin crew member went missing in Toronto in 2020 and an employee in Paris in 2019. In 2018, a flight attendant applied for asylum in Canada after arriving in Toronto.
