ServusTV and ORF reveal live calendars

Motorsport-Magazin.com – Finally clarity for all Austrian Formula 1 fans: after ServusTV and ORF announced as sub-license holders in the summer of last year that they would be taking turns in 2021 and the flagship section of motorsport on TV screens in the Alpine Republic TV screens and will include 2023, it took a long time to see which races are broadcast live on which channel. Now public service and Red Bull’s own free TV private broadcaster has defined the exact broadcast schedule for its Formula 1 TV program in 2021.

The season debut in Bahrain can be seen exclusively on ServicesTV. The first race in Sakhir is for weekend 26.-28. March 2021. Red Bull also has an absolute classic on the home channel – the Monaco Grand Prix on May 23. In return, ORF is showing the season finale in Abu Dhabi (12 December) and the ever popular Italian GP in Monza (12 September).

Formula 1 2021 Live: Season Start on Serious TV, Season Finale on ORF

Overall, ServTV and ORF are largely optional. During the first seven races of the Formula 1 season in 2021, things go back and forth permanently. A triple follow is only when ServicesTV broadcasts the Grand Prix of Canada, France and Austria, one after the other. The home run of the TV station on July 4 can also be seen on ORF. So fans here have options between two different live offers.

The interplay then reverts to the start, before ORF broadcasts two races in a row with Italy and Russia, then ServsTV sprinted to Singapore GP before ORF was again handled for Japan and USA. Before the season finale on ORF, another double is planned on ServusTV, with Australia and Saudi Arabia.

Formula 1 2021 Live: ServicesTV and ORF show twelve races each

Overall, the two TV channels divided the calendar according to race as much as possible, with an odd number of 23 Grand Prix. Due to the parallel broadcast of the Austrian Grand Prix, twelve races can be seen on both channels. Highlights, such as the season finale versus season finale, are also fairly well distributed. Additional additions to the new calendar only – Netherlands and Saudi Arabia were secured by Servistivi.

ORF & ServusTV 2021: Formula 1 also as a magazine format

“We are very happy that the Formula 1 kick-off in 2021 can be seen exclusively on ServicesTV. In addition, domestic fans can look forward to an intense motorsports summer at ServicesTV – with three races in a row: at home races in Spielberg as Canada, France and Hyper. With Formula 1, Moto GP and Superbike World Championship, ServicesTV has the best live motorsport program, ”says Christian Neiba, Head of Sports at Service Nevis.

In addition to the live broadcast, Servistivi also has a background magazine to be broadcast every Sunday, including ORF broadcasts. In addition to Formula 1, the magazine also deals with MotoGP. Interesting: ORF is taking a similar route here. For those races outside the ORF calendar, ORF1 is offering a new Formula 1 show, which aims to present all information about race weekends in compact form. The broadcaster’s proven Formula 1 duo, Ernst Hausletner and Alexander Wurz, will play a role alongside current racing drivers from Austria.
