Pokémon Unite is going into beta testing soon

To be the best together, but not with us yet.

  • The Pokémon Company shared an update on the upcoming game Pokémon Unite
  • Some progress has already been made and, for example, more playable Pokemon have been added.
  • In Canada, the game will enter beta testing next month

Last year, in June 2020, Pokémon Unite was announced as the first multiplayer game around Small Pocket Monsters. After that it was visibly quiet about the project, but now there is a new sign of life: an update from The Pokémon Company provides information about the state of things and the upcoming beta phase.

According to the official Pokémon website, since the announcement, there has been some progress with the multiplayer game: “More playable Pokémon have been added, gameplay changes and additions have been made, the look has been improved and more”. The message is only a small appetizer, of course, but at least it is the feedback that makes it clear: hard work is being done in the game.

Of Pokémon website According to that there is definitely still a lot of work to be done, one can see the light of day before the finished game. In return, the development studio encourages the community to test their project in a beta version, but don’t get too excited! Unfortunately, the trial period will only be available to Pokémon fans in Canada.

Since March, everyone over 16 will be able to test this prototype of the upcoming game exclusively on Android – the finished Pokémon title will then appear mobile not only for Android and Apple devices, but also on the Nintendo Switch.

To see the upcoming Pokémon game, we’ll have to wait a bit in this country. Following the announcement, Pokémon Unite, as an unexpected real-time co-op title, initially received very mixed reactions from the community – let’s take a look at how the votes are after the first tests. Perhaps the multiplayer game can convince skeptics as well? Die-hard Pokémon fans of classic RPGs still couldn’t be happier with it.
