This show is a success story. With “The Masked Singer” ProSieben landed in a real coup. Since the first season, the show has stood for surprises and good ratings. For the fifth season of “The Masked Singer” in autumn 2021, the broadcaster has now decided to make a major change.

The success story of “The Masked Singer” is to be continued and the makers dream of even better ratings. Hence ProSieben has now decided to give a new slot to the show on the request of the fans.

“The MaskedSinger community has long wanted ‘The Masked Singer’ to run on Saturdays. We want to fulfill this wish of our loyal fans one more time with the fifth season”, says ProSieben boss Daniel Roseman.

Six shows will be produced live in Cologne in the autumn of 2021, with ten celebrities leaving their masks again. The exact start date for the 5th season of “The Masked Singer” has yet to be determined.

It is also currently questionable who will be on the jury. The jury members are happily switching. Last season, Lena Gercke created a sensation with an open-hearted outfit. The show will continue to be moderated by Mathias Opdenhovel.

Last season, Max Mutzke as an astronaut, Tom Beck as a sloth, Sarah Lombardi as a skeleton and Sasha as a dinosaur could sing to victory.

“The Masked Dancer” will be available in Germany soon. It is not yet clear where the show is being bought from. Production company Endemol Shine Germany – which also makes “The Masked Singer” – has already acquired the rights. (sku)
