Formula 1 in Austria | Where is the race broadcast? All information about GP of Styria

Next stop: Austria! Formula 1 visits Spielberg on the weekend. The next exciting match will be between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen for the World Championship crown at the Red Bull Ring. When is practice, when is qualifying, when is running? And where can you watch the Grand Prix in Styria in front of the screen? sport.de answers the most important questions.

In Formula 1, after years of Mercedes’ dominance, this season is seeing a real thriller between Hamilton and Verstappen. After the Dutchman’s victory in France last weekend, Verstappen is now leading by twelve points in the overall standings.

Record world champion Hamilton is looking to fight back at Spielberg after three consecutive races without a win. Last year, Britain won the Red Bull Ring like teammate Valtteri Bottas. As races in Canada and a planned replacement event in Turkey were canceled due to the coronavirus situation, Formula 1 will also make two guest appearances in Austria this year.

The route in Styria is characterized by particularly large differences in elevation. With a length of 4.318 kilometres, the Red Bull Ring is also one of the shortest courses on the Formula 1 calendar.

Incidentally, the record winner in Austria is Alain Prost. The Frenchman won in 1983, 1985 and 1986 and is leading the way with three of his successes. However, Verstappen could catch up with the win on Sunday.
