The series with dogs always works: from October 5, the Canadian series “Hudson & Rex” will continue with the German premiere on Pay TV on the TNT series: double episodes will be broadcast every Tuesday from 8:15 pm. The season consists of 16 episodes.
In Canada, soon after the third season aired in April, the green light was given to produce a fourth season – to be shown on CityTV from 21 October.
“Hudson & Rex” is a free remake of the successful Austrian series “Komissar Rex” and is set in Saint John, the capital of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
John Reardon (“Van Helsing”) embodies Detective Charlie Hudson, who receives unusual help at the beginning of the series for a kidnapper: Lamb Rex (played by Doug Diesel vom Bergimwald), a former member of the Dog Squadron. Although Rex is rather obstinate and Hudson is not a dog person, the four-legged friend proves to be an invaluable help in further investigations and is accepted into the team for serious crimes.
With the original title at the start of the third season “Original Story” We look back right at the beginning of the series: on the three-year anniversary of the first collaboration, Hudson remembers the first case he solved together with Rex. In the second episode of the new season, Hudson falls into the clutches of a runaway killer. When both are suddenly faced with greater danger, they have to compromise with each other in order to survive.
