Shooter Giants Annual Shooting
What had become clear years ago has been proved this year as well: the double schedule of pistol shooters was separated from the 300m shooters in terms of time and space. On Friday evening, the Löhningen Pistol Club welcomed veterans of the Schaffhausen shooting to a secluded forest stand on Randenfuse. 16 shooters flew at 25 metres, 11 of them shot at 50 meters in 40 seconds after a test series of 4 x 5 shots at 25 metres. Test shots at 50m were followed by 10+8 individual shots. Experienced board members traveling with local assistants took care of warnings and paperwork, while the comfortable rifle room was looked after by another team. The weather was great, the forest provided shade and coolness. The results obtained ranged from good to poor, but did not affect the mood in the shooting club afterwards.

300 meter competition
On Saturday morning, 300m shooters met a highly motivated army in Beringen, a stand with entrance decorations: bandrolls, flag gates and lovingly crafted weighing scales under walnut trees (non-Swiss: crow’s). for), the tent set up with ingredients, reserve masks and disinfectants as well as coffee machines, cakes and bacon pancakes were ready. It was still a bit cold in the beginning, but in the morning it got warmer and hotter. The shooting schedule was: individual competition after trial, 10 individual shots at 10 targets and 8 individual shots at 100 targets for the year.

After lunch, Beringen Mayor Roger Paillard addressed the shooting community with a short and pleasant brief. First, he was thanked for the coffee and fine cream rolls. Actually, they don’t have much to do with shooting, although there are three shooting ranges in the community. He doesn’t even know what the word send to the shooters means. He knew the concept of sending mail or e-mails, but now he could learn something from the terminology of shooting. Thanks to the delivery of the complete data set from the rifle master and cashier, and the careful preparation of local club president Martin Meyer, MM printed stand sheets, wreath cards and ranking lists as quickly as possible.
