Record jackpot broken in France

A jackpot in this lottery has never been big and plentiful: “EuroMillions” offered a three-digit million sum to win. And the jackpot was hit. With the zodiac, a lucky lottery player can now plan his life anew – if he reports on time.

There’s never been so much money in the lottery pot: A lucky winner in France has cracked the EuroMillions lottery’s biggest jackpot ever. He can expect 220 million euros, as announced by the French lottery company Française des Jeux (FDJ). The lucky winner now has 60 days to contact FDJ and receive their winnings.

It is the largest jackpot in the history of European lotteries since it was established in 2004. According to the FDJ, the winning ticket has 21, 26, 31, 34, 49 and star numbers 2 and 5.

EuroMillions is played in nine European countries: Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. The last Super Jackpot was broken in February 2021 in Switzerland, and the winner received EUR 210 million. The previous record in France was set in December 2020, when a player won 200 million euros.

Even in Germany, lottery players can look forward to a windfall: as announced by the West German Lotteries, a player from Lower Saxony won the Euro jackpot with around €33 million. The winner correctly guessed the lucky numbers 2, 6, 8, 21 and 25 as well as the two euro numbers 6 and 9.
