Fitness+ on November 3 in 15 other countries
Fitness+ was launched in December 2020, but only in a few English speaking countries. Apple announced this fall that Fitness+ will be available in 15 additional countries by the end of the year — including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Now Apple has also given a special date: on November 3, 2021, Fitness + can be subscribed and used in this country.
Also on November 3: Apple One Premium
So far there are only two subscription tiers for Apple One in Germany: “Individual” for 14.95 Euros and “Family” for 19.95 Euros per month. Premium membership was previously only available for subscription in the USA – but that too will change on November 3. Apple One Premium includes access to 2TB of storage with Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+ and iCloud+. The previous subscription did not include Fitness+ and only 50 GB (personal) or 200 GB (family) of iCloud storage space. Apple One will cost 28.95 euros to launch on November 3.
HomePod 15.1 MIT Dolby Atmos
In addition to iOS 15.1, Apple also released an update for the HomePod and HomePod Mini: This update brings Dolby Atmos support without the name extension to the larger HomePod — but not to the HomePod Mini. However, after the update, like its bigger brother, it can play lossless audio through Apple Music. In addition, Apple writes that the update has fixed various bugs and improved stability.
tvOS 15.1
An update is also available for download to fourth-generation (or newer) Apple TVs — but with a new feature: After the update to tvOS 15.1, the Apple TV now supports SharePlay as well, so you can watch movies via FaceTime. Or watch TV programs together. Watch shows with other people.
watchOS 8.1
The Apple Watch will also receive an update this evening – with three new features: Apple has improved the algorithm for detecting falls during training – however, it requires an Apple Watch Series 4 or later. In addition, Apple Watch with watchOS 8.1 also supports digital and signed vaccination certificates in Apple Wallet. watchOS 8.1 also fixes an annoying bug: Watches with Always On Display (Series 5 or newer) sometimes don’t display the correct time.
