As predicted, the incumbent Radev was confirmed in the presidential election in Bulgaria. He got 65 percent of the vote in the runoff election. According to preliminary surveys, the turnout was less than 40 per cent.
According to many predictions, Bulgaria’s head of state, Rumen Radu, won the runoff election for the presidency. He can count up to 65 percent of the vote, while his rival Anastas Gerdshiko was able to convince about 33 percent of the electorate on Sunday.

According to preliminary polls, the turnout was less than 40 per cent and thus even lower than the first round of polling a week ago. However, this has no effect on the validity of the runoff election. Radeau was voted the favorite after receiving 49.5 percent of the vote in the first ballot and marginally missing out on a victory.
