"Who will be a millionaire?" - Unlucky Thomas Mueller: ER had applied for 21 years - TV

For him, the long wait hardly paid off.

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” In the 2016 Christmas special, candidate Thomas Müller (46) gambled on Monday evening and had to go home with a mere 500 euros.

Especially sad: Mellingen’s advice fox applied to an incredible 21 years, near Weimar, to be able to participate in the quiz show. Even Gunther Jauch (65) could hardly believe it.

The moderator was surprised when his counterpart, after answering the fifth question, told him: “Now I can at least say that I have the cost of 21 years of application back.” Since the beginning of 2000, the teacher and Latin for sports have repeatedly tried their luck.

Jouch always tells how quickly you can make it to your show. To prove this, he immediately asked the other candidates: “How long did it take you?” For most of them, a call to the applicant hotline was really enough.

Then the next surprise: among the teaching phone clowns was Jauch’s first millionaire winner, Eckhard Friese (77). Muller explained: “We spent what felt like three days on the phone. He gave me a letter telling me how I could cope with you.”

Freeze was used for less than 8,000 euros. Jauch wanted to know from Muller: “Who will readers meet again in the current bestseller ‘Glitterschitter’?” The substitutes were Sam, Franz Eberhofer, Herr Lehmann and Lisbeth Salander. Because the two Jokers could not find a candidate forward, they called Freeze.

It was in their basement right now, so the connection was equally bad. Jauch asked the professor: “You have to press the hands-free button.” Freese was a bit overwhelmed then: “If only I had known where it was.” But he had the right nose for answers and advised Mr. Lehmann. Checked candidate logged in and one round was ahead.

But this run of luck did not work. For 32,000 euros it was necessary to answer the question: “Who was sentenced to a year in prison without parole in September?” Tony Blair, George W Bush, Nicolas Sarkozy (right) or Silvio Berlusconi? Muller wanted to gamble and, although he had no clue, took Berlusconi to it.

The shock was great when Jauch got the answer wrong. Müller crashed to 500 euros and said softly: “That would have been my trip. I’ve had it for five years.” Jauch wanted to please the unfortunate fellow and when he left said:” Completely different people here More than 500,000 have fallen.”

Just a small consolation for their candidate…
