06.01.2022 | (rsn) – After splitting from Astana, Premier Tech will also sponsor a top division team in 2022. As announced by Israel Start-up Nation, the Canadian packaging machine maker will support the racing team of future four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome.

The team will start the new season under the name Israel-Premier Tech. This confirmed rumors that had been circulating for some time, when Premier Tech was unable to reach an agreement with WorldTour teams Qhubeka in collaboration with NextHash and BikeExchange.

“As an international company based in Canada, Premiere Tech is certainly an important partner for us. Premiere Tech will help us achieve our ambitious goals,” said Quebec-born team owner Sylvan Adams, along with the new sponsor Said commenting on the contract, which will replace the racing team’s start-up Nation Central. “The squad has a solid Canadian base with a strong international focus. That’s important for a company like Premiere Tech. We are all really looking forward to the beginning. It’s going to be a successful year, I’m sure,” Premier Tech CEO Gene Belanger was quoted as saying.

In Premier Tech – Israel’s 30-strong squad – the Canadians are the strongest group with five drivers. Michael Woods, Guillaume Boivin, Alexander Cataford and James Piccoli were joined at the end of the year by Hugo Houle (Astana), one of four newcomers overall. With
