An Irish manager has returned home after being forced to live in China for three years due to a business dispute.
Richard O’Halloran arrived in Dublin on Saturday morning and saw his four children for the first time, his wife Tara said on Twitter.

The Irish Times newspaper reported that the manager of an aircraft leasing company had agreed to a deal agreed by Ireland and China that would pay Beijing thousands of euros in monthly payments.
Ire testified against his boss
The case involved a dispute between O’Halloran’s Chinese employer and officials in Beijing. The businessman also went to China in February 2019 to testify in court against his boss who had defrauded Chinese investors.

However, despite diplomatic pressure, the Irish were not allowed to leave the country. O’Halloran said he was suffering from lack of sleep and mental stress. (dpa)
