Engelbrecht ratified the excellent constitution
Among the long-range hunters, only 15-year-old Sabrina Engelbrecht Trump of SSC Pfeffenhausen came. The student from Landshut district not only put in a very strong effort with 140.15m but also confirmed her excellent position with 138.38m and 138.10m. Only the Austrian Lisa-Marie Stampfl was better (141.32). Bronze went to her compatriot Evelyn Perhab (139.20), followed by Annalena Leitner (138.32 / SV Unterneukirchen). Birgit Wagner (131.31/ESV Mitterskirchen) was eighth. Elisabeth Reiter (TSV Hartpenning) missed the top twelve final. In the team competition it was enough for bronze with 378.29 m for Annalena Leitner (134.62), Sabrina Engelbrecht (128.17), Birgit Wagner (118.16) and Elisabeth Reiter (86.34/dismissed result). Austria (392.41) and Italy (383.09) were simply more consistent. Other results: 4th Canada (292.44), 5th Switzerland (275.85), 6th Namibia (244.85), 7th France (198.01), 8th Guatemala (166.49), 9th Australia (98.82).
Gentlemen of the German Ice Stock Association (DESV) celebrated a historic triple coup on Rennon. Marcus Schetzl (SV Oberbergkirchen) dominated with 140.28 m in front of Michael Spaeth (139.22 / FC Altrandsberg) and Peter Rottmoser (136.44 / SV Schechen). In fourth, Austria’s Marcus Wechinger (127.54) was nearly nine meters behind the bronze medalist. Alexander Anzinger (EC Ebbing) finished eighth. Almost logically, the DESV quartet (335.53) also won team gold ahead of Austria (323.21) and Italy (266.81).
Verena Götzler won another medal at the end of the World Cup – namely bronze with the DESV quartet in the Page playoff final behind Italy and Austria. The German men decorated themselves with gold after defeating Austria by 31:21.
