Surprising victory on “Love Island”!
At the conclusion of the eighth season of the RTL-ZWEI dating show on Tenerife, Jennifer (23) and Nico (26) were chosen as the winning couple.
Düsseldorfer and Saarlander (comes from St. Ingbert) also win 50,000 euros. She pulled out the envelope with the prize money – and immediately announced that she would share the prize with Nico. She could secure the money for herself.
Favorite pair Leonie and Leon won silver, while Cindy and Mark won bronze. “Celebrity brother-in-law” Jendrick (his brother is married to Sarah Lombardi) completely missed the podium with his couple Ina being “only” fifth.
A total of 22 Islanders were featured in the dating show’s second spring season.
Presenter Sylvie Mees (43) summed it up at the start of the show in conversation with the men: “One of you belongs to the winning couple, 50,000 euros for the couple. But money is secondary. The important thing here is feelings. All three of you.” has found really special women and you are already the winner – the winner in the great game of love!
It was also Sylvie who announced the victory – with the words: “The couple with the most votes, the winners of ‘Love Island’ are Jennifer and Nico!”
Response: Loud! Jennifer cried in disbelief, “What? What? What? My gosh, how crazy. I can’t believe it”. Niko happily hugged his girlfriend. “I can’t even realize it right now,” he said. They both expected to win “not at all”. “No, not really. We expected but never expected it,” Jennifer explained.
Then he also chose the envelope with the prize money of 50,000 euros. “How deep is your love? Would you like to share the money with Nico in love or keep it for yourself?” Sylvie asked him again. And Jennifer didn’t hesitate for a second: “Well, I can give her the whole envelope. I live longer than here. Money comes and goes. It goes without saying to me that I’m a natural.” I kindly share!”
Ahh!
After “Love Island”: This Is How Nico and Jennifer Continue
Nico: “With regard to our future, we have already planned everything in detail. I’ll fly him straight back, so we’ll have a few days and we’ll see each other over the weekend straight after that.”
And further: “We’ve already made a game plan for what everything should look like in the future, when it’s best to move forward together. I want to get out of the Saarland anyway. If not for him, then who am I? I’ll give up everything for you!”
