It’s getting tighter for him now…
Actor Cuba Gooding Jr., 54, pleaded guilty Wednesday to “violent contact” in a lengthy criminal case.
The Oscar winner (“Jerry Maguire”) is accused of molesting three different women at different Manhattan bars in 2018 and 2019. His “violent touch” guilty plea covers only one case.
AND: It had been three full years since Gooding’s arrest in 2019. The case was delayed several times as his lawyers tried to downplay or drop the charges.
they are particularly accused of
Gooding was arrested in June 2019 after a 29-year-old woman called the police. Gooding allegedly squeezed her chest without her consent at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge near Times Square.
A few months later, she was charged with two more counts of pinching a waitress at TAO downtown after she made sexually suggestive remarks to her.
He is also said to have violently inappropriately touched a woman in a New York nightclub “LAVO”. Both happened in 2018.
Gooding has now accepted his guilt for the allegation at the “LAVO” nightclub.
The chances of an acquittal in the other two cases don’t look good – at least when you look at the dock. Because the Public Prosecutor’s Office has apparently been able to persuade two other witnesses to give forward-looking statements, which are said to have been misused by Gooding. Their cases have not yet reached the court.
Gooding is also said to have raped a woman in 2013. He also sees himself exposed to this trial in separate proceedings.
