Hanover.The Hanover Indians team continues to take shape. As with some players from the previous season, the Ice Hockey League had recently extended contracts after the end of the play-offs – or tied up some players earlier. Now the first real newcomer. Dennis Palanka walks towards the horse’s tower.

Palanka Blue Devils comes to ECH from Weiden and is now playing on a team with her brother Robin. In April, there was a face-off in the quarterfinals when the Indians eliminated the Blue Devils. In the semi-finals, ECH lost to Memmingen Indians, who had to be promoted to DEL 2 to Regensburg in the final.

Scorpions celebrate on May 7

The Hannover Scorpions have so far waived their end-of-season party because of a coronavirus outbreak in their squad during the semi-final series against Regensburg. The festivities will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 4 p.m. at the Hus de Groot Ice Arena.

It can be assumed that Scorpion’s face will change – the usual with a new coach. Kevin Gaudette returned to Mellendorf as coach. He is currently in Canada and said he is using his network there to fill two overseas positions. It could be saying goodbye to Mario Trabuco and Mike Hammond. New contracts for Patrick Klopper (could switch to DEL 2), Julian Erich (linked with Weyden) and Christoph Kabitzki also appear uncertain. Kabitzki should have received an offer from the ECH.
