Two entertainers Jocko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heffer-Umloff tried to completely stun their TV audience with their latest prank on Wednesday. After a brief introduction, the two spent the remaining prime-time quarter of an hour in front of a white background without talking. For this, the moderators played unstable monotonous synthesizer music and used treadmills to praise the program of the competition.
An idea came to him during the night, with Jocko saying at the outset: “With these 15 minutes we wanted to get off on the lace of our employer ProSieben as much as possible.” Sending out stupid thoughts, exploring the limits of what could be expected, was the idea behind it. Klaus: “What happened? At home, you routinely watched 15 minutes and this ad-financed private television monster called ProSieben thanked us, too.” The broadcaster often found it “really cool”. “It’s a scam.”
It’s “high time we change that,” Klass continued. “That’s why we decided with your help today to lower ProSieben’s rating from zero. Maximum failure for everyone involved. Project 0.0 percent.” Joko said: “Today we will entertain you by making you so bored that even the last one is closed.”
The bottom treadmill then advertised the competition: for example an environmental documentary on 3sat, an Oscar-nominated play on Arte, the “Wilsberg” crime thriller on ZDFneo, the revived RTL show “Der Preis Isthot” or the Netflix series “Ozark”.
In between, consumer suggestions for making better use of time can be read: “Baking tray badly burned? Now get up, soak with baking soda or baking powder, and clean it up.” Jocko and Klass deride their own program as “coatless cheeks” in an ongoing lesson.
The hour-long watch came to an end when Jocko and Klass disappeared with a shriveled snake at the edge of the screen. One by one, the dark-clad crew members worked their way from left to right in the line in front of them. Treadmill: “If you, dear viewers, doubt a punchline or resolution in the remaining broadcast time, we have to let you down.”
Both earned 15 minutes of broadcast time against the broadcaster in a show on Tuesday, which they could use independently from 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday – ProSieben says has no effect on the schedule. Ratings will not be known till Thursday morning.
