Poll strategist Prashant Kishor appealed to Nitish Kumar to concentrate on Covid, and defer the Bihar polls

Election strategist Prashant Kishor took a swipe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar nowadays, stating this is a time to fight the coronavirus, not elections, and that he ought to not endanger people’s lives in a “hurry” to hold the assembly polls.

“The coronavirus scenario in Bihar is worsening like it is in quite a few other states of the place. But a large component of govt equipment and means are occupied building preparation for the assembly elections.”

“Nitish Kumar ji, this is just not a time to fight elections, but the coronavirus. Never endanger people’s lives in this hurry to maintain the polls,” he tweeted.

Prashant Kishor, once a confidant of JD(U) main Nitish Kumar, right before he turned a critic and was expelled from the bash, joins leaders like LJP chief Chirag Paswan and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav in suggesting that the Bihar assembly polls should really be deferred due to the pandemic.

Polls in Bihar are thanks in October-November but the Election Fee has so considerably not produced any official announcement about its timetable.

The BJP and the JD(U) have been keeping organisational meetings and reportedly explained that they are all set for the elections.
