Apple has finally discontinued the Documents and Data feature. It is now part of iCloud Drive. This document storage was the forerunner of iCloud Drive and also synchronized data from different devices.
Apple has now finalized the precursor to iCloud Drive. The Documents and Data facility used to be the center of data synchronization. User data for individual apps was kept in sync across devices with your own Apple ID, but access was restricted on Macs. Apple later introduced iCloud Drive and the functions coexisted for some time, but Apple announced the merger a while back.
