Drebsdorf (Saxony-Anhalt) – In the movie “Eimenhof – The Great Promise” Lou (Leia Holtwick) and Emmy (Ella Pfgen) have a run from home to the stables. Immenhof spanned three federal states and now extends as far as Saxony-Anhalt.
Court scenes were shot in the summer of 2020 in Gut Schweighof (Bavaria), Peterhof (Saarland) and for the first time in Gut Drebsdorf in the Mansfeld-Südharz district (and were later put together at the editing table).
When the production company asked Alexandra Schatz (57), they came full circle. Because the first Immenhof films, shot between 1955 and 1974, sparked his interest in horses and equestrian sport.
When Alexandra Schatz and her mother visited Gut Rothensunde in Schleswig-Holstein, where the first films were shot, she announced: “I want a farm like this.” The Bavarian horse specialist has been making his dream come true in Mansfeld-Sudharz since 1993. He bought the property in Drebsdorf and turned it into a paradise.
“I immediately accepted the film crew and told them the story.”
In August 2020, three trucks loaded with technology arrived. 100 film people created a ruckus about the courtyard for two weeks. Director Sharon von Witersheim (62) and her main cast moved into the holiday apartment. The film animals were added to the 50 horses that are otherwise in Gut Drebsdorf. “Luckily we have enough space,” says Alexandra Schatz, who promises: “Anyone who wants to see Immenhof is welcome in Drebsdorf.”
