The movie Goon is dead!
As BILD learned, director and screenwriter Klaus Lemke has died at the age of 81. “Stern” previously reported. How and under what circumstances Lemke died is not known.
Lemke was born in 1940 in Landsberg an der Werthe. Her films “A Call Girl for Ghosts” (2020), “Arabian Nights” (1979) and “Berlin for Heroes” (2012) are cult in German cinema.

He made his debut and success in 1967 with the film “48 Hours to Acapulco” and won a Bambi as “the most artistically valuable German film”.
Lemke also won the Grimm Prize – with his comedy “Amore” from 1978.
Lemke is considered the discoverer of cinema star Iris Burben (71). And he’s a true movie rebel! Because he hated harsh, German film financing and film funding, he paid his employees out of his own pocket. Everyone used to get 50 euros per day of shooting.
Then he kept on shooting till his money ran out. With the film, which was not finished by that time, he went to German television stations, sold the film and finished it with fresh pocket money.
Lemke said: “The film has to get out of the film funding prison.”
Maybe he’s not even that wrong…
