After winning a bronze medal in the singles kayak on Saturday, Jule Heck managed to celebrate the second final day of the Canoe Racing World Championships in Dartmouth, Canada.

In a two-person kayak over 500 metres, Olfen native and her teammate Paulina Paszek (Hanover) sensationally won a silver medal at the World Championships. The young German team fought hard with Poland’s favorite Olympic silver medalists Karolina Naja and Anna Pulawska, who won the World Championships title 1:49:87 minutes ahead of the German team (1:50:28 min). Won.

Joule Heck also finished second in long distance running

Belgium’s Hermine Peters and Liz Broquez finished third in 1:52:64. Less than two hours after winning the silver medal in Double Kayak, Joule Heck was already back in the boat. At the end of the title fights, a long distance race of 5,000 meters took place. This was the first long-distance appearance in a DKV dress for a KSC Lunen athlete.

From the very beginning, Heck was part of the leading group at their long-distance premiere. In the final sprint, she was defeated only by the 2021 world champion, Emiz Kohlmi of Hungary, and celebrated her second silver medal of the day. Ireland’s Jennifer Egan Simmons won the bronze medal.

With two silver medals and a bronze medal in a kayak over 500 meters, Heck celebrated a successful world championship premiere and proved once again that he is currently the best German racing canoeist.
