In addition, the modem supports both sub-5 GHz and mmWave networks, so it can be used worldwide for 5G access. There is also Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, support for QuickCharge 4.0 Plus, and the option to use a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz on displays with FHD+ resolution. For a new mid-range smartphone, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 should bring a welcome improvement in terms of performance and features.
It remains to be seen when the new Qualcomm SoC will be available in the finished smartphone. The introduction will probably happen in the next few weeks, so that devices equipped with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 may appear this year.
