Rumor has it that the next Assassin’s Creed title set in Baghdad will be called Mirage. The project was previously known under the codename “Rift”, to be released the following year.
Not everything about this leak is true
YouTuber j0nathan has shared this new information in a video. Well-known Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier has also confirmed his rumors on Twitter.
“A person familiar with it told me that some parts of this new Assassin’s Creed leak are true (like the name and other things Bloomberg previously reported: Spring 23, Baghdad, Back to AC Basics) and other parts are not ( “Multiple cities to explore”),” Schreier writes.

More on Assassin’s Creed:
The video states that Mirage will release in the spring of 2023. The title is set in Baghdad between 870–860 and aims to return to the roots of the suffrage. However, according to Schreier, only some parts of this leak are true.
Previous leaks report that Project Rift is the originally planned expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but evolved into its own game. Therefore, it also makes sense that the upcoming part is smaller than the previous games in the series. The character Basim should also play a big role there.
So far there has been little official news about the successor to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The first information can be expected at the Ubisoft Forward, which is due out on September 10th. There we can learn more about Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which aims to serve as a platform for future Assassin’s Creed games.
