We are approaching a beautiful time of year with pleasant temperatures and an idyllic climate – but for some, autumn brings a difficult fate as well. During this time, four potential illnesses predominate: influenza, colds, asthma, and depression.

fever

Influenza is a respiratory illness caused by a virus, the most obvious symptoms being fever, cough, runny nose, loss of appetite and muscle aches. The virus is spread by droplets, that is, when kissing or shaking hands. That’s why people with low immunity should pay special attention to social distancing, especially in autumn, and should also consider flu vaccination.

Cold

Like the flu, the common cold is a respiratory illness that can lead to the flu if left untreated. The symptoms are very similar, but there are more than 100 different types of viruses that cause colds, so you’re more likely to get a cold.

asthma

Asthma patients are extremely vulnerable in spring and autumn. The acute form of the disease results from inflammation of the upper respiratory tract caused by viruses and germs. Cure can only be by direct medical treatment of the infection or by removal of the allergen.

depression

This usually occurs during a transition from a warm to a cold climate: a lack of natural daylight can lead to depressive episodes. The symptoms are different: they range from minor discomfort, lack of drive and energy to neurosis and psychosis, which should be treated professionally.

So the fate of the autumn season may be different: please respond to the first warnings of body and soul!
