According to a report, state guests should not travel by private jet or helicopter to the Queen’s state funeral. Delegates around the world should – if possible – arrive by scheduled flight, the news portal “Politico” reported, citing internal documents from the British Foreign Office.

London’s Heathrow Airport is not accessible to private jets. Guests insisting on private planes should fly to other airports around London. According to the documents, helicopter flights between airports and locations are to be banned in view of the high number of flights.

The state ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II on 19 September is likely to be the largest international event in recent British history. According to “Politico,” documents show that a maximum of one representative – that is, a state or government representative – can travel with a companion to each country. This is due to the sheer number of expected guests and the limited space at Westminster Abbey and other places.
