Bill de Blasio bemoans the world he helped create

“It does not make feeling to me,” Mayor Invoice de Blasio suggests. He’s “very unhappy” that the person accused of punching NYPD Main Terence Monahan and two other cops was released with no bail.

“To assault any person is absolutely unacceptable,” the mayor says, and “there needs to be outcomes.” Also: “If you assault a law enforcement officer you are assaulting all of us.”

Effectively, duh, Mr. Mayor: This is the environment you have established.

De Blasio invested years feeding anti-cop narratives to the voters — heck, he essentially won the 2013 Democratic mayoral most important by smearing the NYPD as racist. And though he’s avoided destroying the office as mayor, he’s also hardly ever stopped pandering to the significantly left by, for illustration, agreeing to near Rikers Island and, most lately, insisting that Black Lives Issue demonstrations really do not have to abide by the same lockdown guidelines as anyone else, as perfectly as signing an “anti-chokehold” legislation that his personal major cops say goes significantly as well considerably.

He’s also utilized his electric power as mayor to set fellow progressives on the bench and elect them to the condition Legislature, with significant good results. And it was all those similar progressives who pushed via the no-bail legislation, completely ignoring all people in law enforcement, even those people with impeccable reform credentials, such as Albany DA David Soares.

So it’s no bail for looting or for assaulting a cop — or a great deal else.

You bought what you questioned for, Blas. Quit pretending to be surprised.
