Before the table HC Meran has reacted to a disappointing season in the Alps Hockey League and has advanced their defense properly.

The Eagles on Sunday evening announced the signing of Canadian defender Stephen Desrocher.

This is her first engagement in Europe for the 26-year-old. He was still attending the AHL (American Hockey League) camp in San Jose Barracuda as of Tuesday.

The Toronto’s 1.93m tall and 90kg defenseman has met super talent Conor McDavid and other famous NHL players in his career as captain in the OHL (Ontario Hockey League). In 2015 he was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 6th round at 155. At the end of the season he played his first ECHL game for the Florida Everblades and immediately won the Kelly Cup.

“I think we have found a defender in Desrocher who fits in with our team and would be a great addition to our defence,” said HCM president Stephen Kobler.
