Due to the closure of roads in the middle of the city, there is a situation of jam in the evening. Roads are congested, especially around the main railway station, and traffic has come to a standstill on many roads. The background is the security area surrounding the Atlantic Hotel. Therefore traffic is mainly supported on von-Steben-Strae to Eisenbahnstrae. At 8 p.m. the establishment of a restricted area on Cathedral Square continued.

While barriers to the restricted area were set up on the Prinzepalmarkt and Domplatz, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock were already on the plane to Münster. The two will land at Münster/Osnabrück airport on Wednesday evening: again on Thursday morning to participate in a German-American discussion event.

The Town Hall will be the venue for the G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting.

The G7 meeting will begin on Thursday at 3:30 pm at City Hall. However, the restricted areas for the G7 meeting will come into effect from 10 pm today. It will remain in place till Friday evening. Domplatz and Prinzepalmarkt can only be reached on foot. After checking police id.
