Princess Charlene, who was unable to be with her family for months due to health problems, is now appearing in public again. It now also includes an interview she gave to the magazine “Monaco-Matin”. The reason for this is the tenth anniversary of her foundation “Foundation Princess Charlene”.

In conversation, the 44-year-old addressed her health: “First of all, I would like to say that I am doing much better today than I have been in recent years.” She continues: “I feel a lot less pain and a lot more energy. I’m still recovering and getting my balance back”. Even though the process still takes some time, he is “happy”. “I’m dealing with the future, step by step, one day at a time.”

At this stage of her life, she mainly depends on her surroundings. “My family and the people I love are my rock.” Apart from husband Albert, it also includes her twin children Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques. When she talks about her offspring, the eight-year-olds share a “rather unique” bond. “They are two children who have their own language and understand each other. They love and protect each other and are very friendly to each other,” she says.

Last year, the princess fell ill during a trip to South Africa. She developed ear, nose and throat infections and had to stay away from her family in Monaco for several months. Finally back in her adopted country, she had to go back to a clinic after a short time to recover. In the spring of that year, she made a full return to royalty and resumed her duties as a member of the court.
