Ashok Gehlot’s brother Agrasain Gehlot has been summoned by the ED in an alleged funds laundering circumstance

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s elder brother Agrasain Gehlot has been questioned to be part of investigation in an alleged income laundering scenario joined to the fertiliser export rip-off that took spot amongst 2007 and 2009. The Enforcement Directorate has summoned him for questioning tomorrow.

Anupam Krishi is an authorised seller of Indian Potash Ltd, the only organization authorized to import “muriate of potash” or MoP, which farmers get at a subsidised rate. Export of the chemical is banned.  

In accordance to ED resources, involving 2007 and 2009, Anupam Krishi acquired “muriate of potash” at subsidised fees. But rather of distributing it to farmers, the enterprise allegedly bought it to a several firms, which exported it to Malaysia and Singapore as “industrial salt”.
