Pop star Adele is sparking fresh speculation about her return as a musician with a mini video. The black and white clip she posted to Twitter and Instagram shows how she puts a cassette in a car and then drives down a country road while sheet music shoots out the window.
This is followed by 13 seconds of instrumental piano intro to a song. It finally says that “Easy on Me” should be released on October 15. In the first hour alone, the clip garnered six million views.
It has long been suspected that the Oscar and Grammy winner will soon release her new album, which she has been working on for years. Prior to this, the number 30 was introduced in major buildings around the world such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Colosseum in Rome, but also in Russia, Brazil and the Philippines.
Fans suspected that it was the title of a new album by the superstar. Because her previous albums had similar titles: in 2008 the singer released her debut album “19”, which was named after her age at the time. The album “21” followed in 2011 and finally “25” in 2015.
This time the artist may indicate her age in a pivotal year for her: the British woman separated from her husband, Simon Konecki, when she was 30.
