Thick smoke can be seen over Torquay in the afternoon. A yacht has caught fire in the port of a coastal town in southern England. There are thousands of liters of diesel in the ship. The fire brigade doesn’t care.

A yacht caught fire and sank in the port of the southern English coastal city of Torquay. “The boat sank, so the fire has now been brought under control,” the local fire department said.

According to the information, there was about 8,000 liters of diesel in the boat, due to which the Environment Authority was started, which immediately went to work with special equipment. This yacht, about 26 meters long, caught fire around noon. The cause of the fire is not clear yet.

In footage released by the BBC, thick, dark clouds of smoke can be seen above the white boat. Residents have been instructed to avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed for the time being. According to the police, there should be no casualties.
