BARCELONA – Pop singer Shakira, 44, said she was attacked by wild boars while walking with her son Milan, 8, in a park. In an Instagram video broadcast by the Catalan broadcaster, she said: “They attacked me in the park and ran away on the phone with my bag. In the end he dropped the bag.”
BILD calls out the best way to react to such an attack.
Wild boar mothers traveling with their babies are especially dangerous. Animals are increasingly being found not only in forests, but also in cities and parks. You can meet such families at any time of the year.
For example, whoever comes across a wild boar must first keep quiet, remain silent, or hide behind a tree. Wild boars can’t see properly! Never corner the animal or it may become aggressive.
Caution: Before the attack of the wild boar, it begins to gnaw or clap its teeth. You need to back off immediately, but don’t make yourself small. Report injured animals to the police – they keep on attacking.
Wild boar expert Frank Sigworth (53): “When you meet wild boars, you shouldn’t surround them, give them a place to escape.”
