The wave of destruction and damage of Christian symbols is rolling in the Balwar area once again. Several path crosses, including one in a cemetery, were extensively damaged. An idol of Jesus landed in the village pond without weapons.
Mellen/Volkringhausen – Mellen, Daniel Schulze Tertilt, and the mayor of Volkringhausen, Hubertus Schweitzer, all fell from the clouds on Saturday morning. In the intervening night of Friday through Saturday, several road intersections in both districts – including one at the cemetery – were razed. “The body of Christ from the Cross lay in the nearby village pond in front of the new fire station in Malen – it was floating there like a drowned corpse.
Damaged grave cross at Mellon Cemetery
His arms were torn.” Schultz Tertilt is stunned by what Melner had previously told him. He quickly had an idea for himself: “Not only was there a body torn here, but on the Ring Road and the old swimming pool.” There is no trace of these. But that’s not all: “A body of Christ is torn from a cross at a private grave in Meulen cemetery.” Will have to add more: “Many small grave crosses were desecrated in our cemetery. And they are personal blows of fate for families. ,
re-reported
Police have been called and a complaint has been registered against unknown people. “We can’t do any more. Because we are at a loss: who did all this and why? What’s going on in these heads? Why against the symbols of the church?” He has no answer to that. And so it’s Volkringhausen’s Hubertus is with Schweitzer. Here the body was torn and stolen on “Inselweg.” “I’m lost for words. And I have absolutely no sympathy for such behavior.” This cross stood for more than ten years on the “island” in Volkeringhausen, formerly located in “Haus Schulte” (formerly “Zorbas”).
Repeated profanity since July
Many people from Völkringhausen, including the mayor, advocated the placing of the cross in the center of the village. “Now Volkringhausen”, Schweitzer now knows that his village has now become the center of the Vandals, who have completely or partially destroyed (we reported) the eleven Christ figures at the crossroads in the city since 22 July. When asked in early January, police said a search of the house in Balve town had been conducted in connection with the cross sacrilege. Apart from this, more information is still being obtained.
