Air defense sector breaks down as Chinese warplanes arrive in Taiwan

Chinese warplanes arrive in Taiwan

Beijing’s provocation against Taiwan continues. Chinese jets once again violated the unofficial border between the island and the People’s Republic. This may be in response to an acknowledgment to the US.

According to Taiwan, the Chinese Air Force has again violated the air defense zone. The defense ministry said 13 warplanes took off in the central Taiwan Strait between the island and mainland China. The middle of the strait is considered the unofficial border between Taiwan and China.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan explicitly thanked the United States for taking concrete measures to maintain security and peace in the Taiwan Strait. China’s unprovoked military and economic threats have strengthened unity in the global camp of democracy.

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan last week. China sees the visit as a provocation and a violation of its sovereignty and, after his departure, launched maneuvers on an unprecedented scale in the immediate vicinity of the island.

The government in Beijing treats Taiwan as a separate province and is threatening all countries that maintain or establish contact with the democratically governed island with consequences. The United States, on the other hand, has repeatedly pledged its support to Taiwan, but without guaranteeing assistance in the event of an attack.
