Apple has landed Sharper, an impending movie about a con artist working in the earth of billionaires and 1-percenters that is established to star Oscar-winner Julianne Moore.
The challenge is derived from a spec script by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, who earlier collaborated on The Sitter and Superstore. Apple claims it ordered the script in a very aggressive scenario.
Moore will create Sharper with Bart Freundlich, Brian Gatewood, Alessandro Tanaka and Erik Feig of Picturestart. A24 will provide as the studio, with Picturestart attached as the manufacturing business.
Sharper is Moore’s 2nd time working with Apple. She also stars in the future limited sequence Lisey’s Tale, a deeply private thriller from writer Stephen King and J.J. Abrams’ Undesirable Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Tv. Moore will executive create the project, which is established to premiere completely on Apple Television set Moreover. She is acquired an Academy Award for Still Alice and has starred in the likes of Significantly From Heaven and Boogie Evenings.
Apple and A24 beforehand declared a film partnership. Their shared slate involves On The Rocks from Sofia Coppola starring Invoice Murray and Rashida Jones, and The Sky is Everywhere you go. Apple recently picked up Greyhound, a Globe War II epic starring Tom Hanks from Sony. It debuts on July 10. The corporation also acquired the Sundance 2020 Grand Jury Prize-winning documentary, Boys Point out, with A24 as the distribution companion on the film.
