Not only does the current Xbox generation benefit from the growing range of new and old games, with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Microsoft also has some interesting news to announce in terms of media apps. Along with Apple TV and Spotify, two outstanding representatives have been given a major new task.
Support for Dolby Vision has now been activated for Apple’s streaming service Apple TV +, so that selected titles such as Ted Lasso, All Mankind, and Mythic Quest can now be viewed with Dolby Atmos, provided that related settings are activated on your Xbox Ho . At the same time, Spotify is now supported for video podcasts. Podcasts such as The Misfits can now be played full screen or in the background, and playback control is still possible via mobile apps for iOS and Android.
In addition, Microsoft has now announced some more streaming services that can now be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. These include Discovery +, Paramount + and IMDb TV from Amazon. For us in Germany, however, these are not of interest at the moment, as personal services will start here in Germany only in the coming months.
