Nightmare Dates With Domenico
The Bachelor semifinals have some surprises, but major disappointments. Dominic Stuckman delivers a favorite pass.
Dream dates on “The Bachelor” must be good to dream. Dating takes place against a picturesque backdrop, heavenly excursions are on the agenda, and nights in luxurious king-sized beds are a must. In the current episode, these special meetings bring the audience to other realms mentally – but not in a positive sense. The garbage fan turns on out of sheer boredom. The dream of a better semi-final has been announced.
The motto of the final episode “The Bachelor” 2022 is: “Up High”. A better option would probably have been: “same same but different”. Because every date is the same, just different in some way. So Nele, Anna and Jana-Maria are allowed to fly through the air with the bachelors one after the other – how amazing it is. Neil is the first. Dominic really wants to know “how does it feel when you wake up next to him in the morning”. Sure, because as I said: overnight stays should already be included in DreamDates.
But things are a little different with Nelle. A lot of talk and awkward silence about their long journey sucks at their airtime like chewing gum. Of course, the conversation should take place in a pool and with champagne, of course, Neale stays overnight – in a “very nice suite, in a really luxurious hotel”. But: “We didn’t even take our eyes off it for a minute,” Neale says. And The Bachelor really wanted to know what he looked like at first glance.
At least Neale apparently gave him a love letter and coaxed his ego with it. “It says I’m a wonderful person,” Dominic says proudly. And then it finally gets high – but not qualitatively: Dominic and Neale fly through sunrise in a hot air balloon. The conversation is more tiring than ever. When Dominic’s statement “this is my first time with you” one wakes up for a while. That means balloon ride, brain again says goodbye to sleep mode.
Then it’s Anna’s turn. All hope is on him to finally materialize the tension predicted by the commentators. But when the helicopter appears, the last spark is gone. A little fumbling here, a little kissing there, Ana’s “mask is slowly collapsing”, Dominic tearing this sentence completely out of his stool. Then it falls back into a pool and Dominic begins his perpetual arrogance. He seems genuinely jealous that Nellé and Anna get on so well. Attention for Dominic is not divisible. “Well, are you here for me? Sometimes you say something and look at it. Then I think: Hey, look at me, not Nele!” “Hey” anyway he often thinks, maybe Dominic should stick with it instead of brushing off such a shameful jealous act.
But since Anna feels “like a little girl” in her presence, she is extremely sorry for this misunderstanding. The Bachelor honors this insight with a “clear compliment”: “You’re the only one who manages to make my heart beat faster.” Anna has to take steps for this now. It’s not enough for Dominic to say “thank you” or a compliment from him. He asks for a kiss. A night of “acute throat” follows. Dominic’s statement: “A gentleman is silent and enjoys” – if he had really kept quiet about it, no one would know for sure what was going on.
Anyone who expected a “cross” twist from Jan-Maria can now go to bed at the latest. A small plane awaits her, in which she too can cuddle and smooch with the bachelor. “Now there’s only Dominic and I in my head,” says Jana-Maria. She laughs, smiles and flirts like crazy. “For my partner, I can adapt somehow” – a statement that graduates should certainly like a lot. Every liberated woman wakes up screaming and clinging to her pillow at the latest when she is able to spend a night with her bachelor. “Yes please,” Jan-Maria literally yearns for a “close hug” with The Bachelor.
This much confirmation does not leave the bachelor cold, which is why Nele had to leave the format too. Reason: You just didn’t open up enough for him. And don’t forget: he didn’t even wake up next to her. So waiting for the finale with Anna and Jana-Maria. Bets are allowed. Heart wins or ego? This decision should not be exciting.
Finally, a fun bedtime story: Before DreamDates, all three candidates are allowed to ride with the Bachelor. His horse’s name is “Dominic” and he presents himself as a very stubborn, reluctant horse. Dominic has a lot of trouble with his Mexican name, Neale and Anna don’t care much. You can count on Jan-Maria: “You are still my shepherd”. Dominic Happy, happy ending and good night.
