China’s indie development studio Game Science revealed new visual impressions for its upcoming title Black Myth: Wukong. On 20 August, it released an almost 13-minute long run. Gameplay Videos on Youtube, in which you can check out ARPGs based on Unreal Engine 5. The latest version of Epic Games’ Engine was not used before, but the developers decided to switch from Unreal Engine 4 to 5 without much ado.
Video was not only recorded in real time with Unreal Engine 5, but also uses graphics technology dlss from nvidia. According to Nvidia, Black Myth: Wukong is the first game that runs simultaneously with Unreal Engine 5 and supports Deep Learning Super Sampling. The trailer shows a little new in terms of content, but focuses more on the game’s graphic design in the snow-capped and mountainous temple regions of China.
What is known about Black Myth: Wukong so far?
The action adventure is based on the Chinese novel “Journey to the West”, written by author Wu Chang’an in the 16th century of the Ming dynasty in China and deals with the legend of the monkey king Wukong. In February this year, a trailer was released that gave an impressive look at what Black Myth: Wukong fans can expect. A release date hasn’t been announced yet, with hints seem to be for 2023 at the moment.
