Sigulda (AP) – American Elana Meyers Taylor won the Women’s Bobsleigh World Cup in Sigulda, Latvia.

With pusher Lake Kwazza, she took the British sled to the other podium places in 1:41.85 minutes, along with Micah McNeil/Adele Nicol and Christine De Bruyne/Kristen Bujanowski from Canada. Several top pilots, including three German Olympic starters, had decided not to travel to Sigulda in preparation for the Winter Games in Beijing.

Stephanie Schneider debuted for the German association alongside Annabel Gallender, who finished eighth, and Anne Spreuwers and Vanessa Marc. You came in 17th. Your sled overturned in the first run and slid from your side to finish. Both athletes were not injured and, despite falling, competed again with their damaged sledges. He managed a solid ride in the process. “Sigulda is really my favorite track. At least we showed in the second run that we can do better,” said Spreuwers.
