Burger King greeted so cheekily in Munich

For McDonald’s 50th Anniversary

For fast food chain McDonald’s 50th birthday, the competition in Munich allowed itself a brazen joke—and literally made the birthday boy a clown.

Burger Chain McDonald’s Celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday. Lots of congratulations – even from the competition. Burger Chain Burger King Special emphasis was placed on congratulating in a cheeky manner.

She posted a video on Instagram showing a white van in front of a McDonald’s branch Munich runs. There is a big advertising poster on the vehicle. It depicts a king with his court jester. “Every king needs a clown. Happy 50th Birthday McDonald’s” it read next.

Burger King uses Photoshop to put a clown emoji with a question mark on a McDonald’s employee who exits a branch.

The action was apparently well received by Burger King fans. “Long live the king!” A user commented at the bottom of the post. Others also “celebrated” the idea. “You’re the blast!” Wrote about a user. Another user admitted, “You literally had a clown for breakfast. When it comes to veggie options, you’re way ahead of the golden seagull.”

But there were also some good words: “Just as every king had a court clown, so the king would not be the same without the clown,” said Burger King’s marketing director Klaus Schmaing.
