Investing.com – Canadian stocks were higher after closing on Tuesday, and higher in profit.

Present season’s best performance Ballard Power System Inc (TSX :), which rose nearly 17.2% or 6.32 points to close at 43.27. ARC Resources Limited (TSX 🙂 meanwhile added 7.14% or 0.46 points to end at 6.90. NFI Group Inc (TSX 🙂 was up 7.36% or 2.15 points to trade at 31.35 points.
Worst performance of the season Quebecor Inc Class B (TSX :), which fell 3.52% or 1.13 points to end at 30.98 in late trade. West Fraser Timber Company Limited (TSX 🙂 closed 3.76% or 2.76 points down at 76.50. Norbord Inc (TSX 🙂 was down 3.45% or 1.84 points to 51.53.
The rising stock fell from 560 to 506 and ended 100 unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Gold futures for February delivery rose 0.06%, or $ 1.20, to 1,852.00 troy ounces. Elsewhere in the commodities trade, crude oil for delivery in February hit $ 1.89%, or $ 0.99, at $ 53.24 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.69% or 0.94 to trade at $ 56.60 a barrel.
CAD / USD rose 0.50% to 0.7859 while CAD / EUR rose 0.14% to 0.6444.
US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 90.102.
