Investing.com – Canadian shares were higher after the close on Wednesday, and higher in profit.

It rose 0.21% at the end of business in Toronto and hit a new all-time high.

The best performers of the season were West Fraser Timber Company Limited (TSX :), which rose 5.70% or 5.42 points to close at 100.53. Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc (TSX 🙂 Meanwhile ended at 42.00 adding 3.55% or 1.44 points. Interfor Corp (TSX 🙂 was up 3.34% or 1.01 points to 31.27 points in late trade.

Worst performance of the season AcuityAds Holdings Inc (TSX :), which fell 8.95% or 1.360 points to close at 13.830. Cascade Inc. (TSX 🙂 ended the day at 15.12, down 7.75% or 1.27 points. Village Farm International Inc. (TSX 🙂 was down 7.53% or 1.27 points at 15.59.

Shared the falling shares from 518 to 508 and ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Gold futures for June delivery were down 0.34%, or $ 5.95, to $ 1,737.05 per troy ounce. Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.40%, or $ 0.24, to $ 59.57 a barrel in the commodities business, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.41%, or $ 0.26, to $ 63.00 a barrel.

CAD / USD was down 0.51% to 0.7916, while CAD / EUR fell 0.37% to 0.6674.

US Dollar Index futures rose 0.18% to 92.515.
