Investing.com – Canadian stocks were lower after closing on Tuesday, and underperformed.

The best performers of the season were Colliers International Group Inc. Bats (TSX :), trading up nearly 5.69%, or 7.67 points, to a level of 142.39. Nutrien Ltd (TSX 🙂 added 4.35% or 2.99 points to end at 71.71. Gibson Energy Inc (TSX 🙂 rose 4.00% or 0.90 points to close at 23.39.
Worst performance of the season Ballard Power System Inc (TSX :), which fell 20.35% or 5.05 points to end at 19.39 in late trade. Bausch Health Companies Inc (TSX 🙂 closed down 10.62% or 4.10 points at 34.49. Iamgold (TSX 🙂 was down 8.60% or 0.35 points at 3.72.
The falling stocks closed at 401 and 329 from 401 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Gold futures for June delivery were down 0.85%, or $ 15.25, at $ 1,776.55 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude for June delivery rose 1.85%, or $ 1.19, to $ 65.68 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.88%, or $ 1.27, to $ 68.883 a barrel.
CAD / USD was down 0.25% to 0.8123 while CAD / EUR rose 0.22% to 0.6765.
US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.40% to 91.287.
